The Loaf, the Cup, for You.
We are Disciples of Christ, a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world. As part of the body of Christ, we welcome all to the Lord’s table as God has welcomed us.
Welcome! Thanks for “visiting” us on the web.
As a church we have discerned the best way that we can love one another and love our neighbors well, is to continue to worship and “gather” virtually, enabling us to stay home and healthy.
We gladly welcome you to join us for our virtual worship services!
Our virtually live worship happens on Sundays at 10:30am on our Facebook Page: Facebook.com/HereInTheWest/
Our Children Worship & Wonder Services are also live on our Facebook page Sunday’s after our main service (~11:30am).
We also post all of our worship services and Children Worship & Wonder services on our YouTube Channel. You can find our channel by searching on YouTube for “WestWind Church” or by accessing this link: WestWind on YouTube
While we greatly miss gathering in-person, we give thanks for the ways the church continues to be the church outside of the walls of the building! We also appreciate the ways this has enabled us to worship wherever we may be at whatever time works best (and wearing whatever is most comfortable- even P.J.’s!).
To participate fully in our virtually worship gatherings we invite you to set aside space in your home to worship with a candle, candle lighter, and food and drink to use as Communion elements. You may also want to bring along a Bible and a “worry stone”. Remember that all spaces are holy when we open ourselves to God’s abiding presence.
Children’s Worship & Wonder Wee Worship
Young children know, love and worship God, but most worship is structured and full of words and symbols based on stories and memories children do not yet have.
Our children have the opportunity to encounter and worship God in a manner meaningful to them. They enter into a sacred time and place where they can be with God, hear the stories of God, talk to God, and listen to God. They participate in a ritual of worship which corresponds to WestWind’s order of congregational worship.
The worship center is a structured environment in which the children can abide in God’s love as experienced in Biblical stories, parables, and liturgical presentations, so that they may experience meaning and order in their lives and, as the body of Christ, live as Christ’s ministers in the world.
Children’s Service can be viewed live at 11:30 am on Sundays On our Facebook page
