He graduated from Abilene Christian University in 1992 with a degree in Communication and spent the next two years making his living as a singer and actor on the road. \nHe joined a new company in Dallas called Reel FX – Creative Studios in 1994 and was with Reel FX until 2004 with one short break during which he lived in Nashville\, TN. Stephen served as the Associate Minister at the Lake Cities Church from 2004 – 2009 and as the Executive Director of Fortress Youth Development Center (a non-profit organization working with at risk urban youth in Southeast Fort Worth) in 2010 and 2011. He earned his Master’s Degree in Communication from TCU in 2012 and spent the next ten years teaching Communication at TCU and Tarrant County College in Fort Worth. \nToday\, Stephen is the Director of Strategic Development at MADE IN THE STREETS\, a non-profit organization focusing on family-based care\, which emphasizes reunification\, reintegration\, rescue\, and rehabilitation for children currently living on the streets. His band\, Back Roads\, performs around town\, and he leads worship at various congregations on Sundays. Stephen and his wife Stephanie have been married for 29 years and have two beautiful daughters\, Rainey (23) and Emily Rose (19). Stephen will be preaching on Sunday July 27. A recipient of the 2020 Louisville Institute’s Pastoral Study Program grant\, Cara is exploring the intersection of grief and joy in caring for families who have experienced medical trauma. Cara is the editor of 99 Prayers Your Church Needs but Doesn’t Know It Yet as well the newly released Prepare: An Advent Devotional.  She also serves as a preacher and congregational consultant helping church align their practices and structures with their vision for how God is calling them to serve their community. In her personal time Cara is an uncoordinated fitness enthusiast\, avid reader and traveler with her partner Tim\, and their two daughters as they work on their goal of hiking every National Park. The Gilger’s live in North Texas. Rev. Gilger received her bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University and Masters of Divinity from Vanderbilt University. Rev. After receiving the nudge of the Holy Spirit to put her competencies and spiritual gifts to work for God\, Linda graduated from Brite Divinity School in Fort Worth on May 12\, 2018 with a Masters of Theology and Ministry\, majoring in Pastoral Care and Christian Education. Linda’s Ordination Service was held at WestWind Christian Church in Keller\, TX on July 10\, 2021.  \nLinda is now an Elder at Westwind Christian Church\, and is involved in two Chambers of Commerce\, as well as supporting a 501-c3 Non-Profit for Female Domestic Violence and their children.  \nRev.
