DESCRIPTION:Carissa (she/they) is a full-time seminary student and Children’s Minister at Galileo Christian Church. They plan to graduate with their MDiv and get ordained in the Christian Church\, Disciples of Christ in the Spring of 2026. Carissa also enjoys deep\, rich conversations about philosophy and theology (basically\, poetry). In her spare time\, Carissa is a free spirit who loves to try out new hobbies\, write\, travel\, get out in nature\, and engage in spiritual practices. Carissa lives in Crowley with her wonderful family— hubby Ryan and three kids.\n\nCarissa will be preaching on Sunday\, August 3. The sermon title will be “The Art of Resistance\,” and the scripture will be Romans 12:1-3.

Megan Lilburn\n\nMegan Lilburn is a graduate of TCU and Brite Divinty\, the Bereavement Coordinator with Community Healthcare of Texas\, a PRN Chaplain at Harris Methodist Downtown\, and a Divorce and Grief Doula through her organization Sagaciously Uprooted.\n\nHer favorite job is mom to 2 beautiful daughters—Sophia and Berkleigh—and has a firm belief that coffee is how we know God loves us. Megan will be preaching on Sunday August 10. The sermon will be “Strangers in a Foreign Land” and the scripture will be Hebrews 11:1-3\, 8-16.
