Linda Barnette, May 18, 2025

Originally from Nashville, TN, Rev. Linda Barnette took an early retirement as HR Director from Human Resources and in 2007, married Barney Barnette, a 5th generation Texan from Houston. After receiving the nudge of the Holy Spirit to put her competencies and spiritual gifts to work for God, Linda graduated from Brite Divinity School in Fort Worth on May 12, 2018 with a Masters of Theology and Ministry, majoring in Pastoral Care and Christian Education. Linda’s Ordination Service was held at WestWind Christian Church in Keller, TX on July 10, 2021. 

Linda is now an Elder at Westwind Christian Church, and is involved in two Chambers of Commerce, as well as supporting a 501-c3 Non-Profit for Female Domestic Violence and their children. 

Rev. Linda will be preaching on Sunday, May 18. The sermon title is “Love One Another-Even If It Is Difficult” and the text is John 13:1-17 and 31b-35 from the Common English version of the Bible.
